Mary Jo McPheron Hogan, 89, of Carmel, IN passed away on Good Friday, April 14, 2017 surrounded by her family.

Born on May 29, 1927 in Lima, OH, she was the daughter of Leo M. and Anna Mary McPheron.  She married John T. Hogan on June 12, 1948 who preceded her in death in 1988.

She was a graduate of Juliane High School, Dayton, OH and the Dayton School of Business.  Mary Jo lived in West Lafayette, IN where she raised her family.  She had worked in a boutique in Zionsville before moving to Florida where she worked in the state’s Attorney General’s Office.  She loved doing her crafts, especially plastic canvas and wreaths.  She enjoyed the spirit of Christmas as well as the other holidays and had many items displayed the year round!

She is survived by 3 daughters:  Patricia (Larry) Gottschalk, Greencastle, IN, Sandra Hogan, Noblesville, and Kathleen Hogan of North Royalton, OH, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Hogan, Jr., daughter Susan Lee (Lorry)Hogan Wagner, a sister Margaret (Ed) Kunk, a brother Thomas (Carol) McPheron.

A funeral service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date where she will be interred with her husband.
